John F. Kennedy once said, “Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.” Does this sound familiar? Is your body producing “dynamic and creative intellectual activity”? Physical fitness is obviously highly reveered and so it might seem puzzling that just 5% of the population gets 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Is this is suggest that the rest of us are void of creativity and intellect entirely?

The key to getting to a healthier life is often nutrition coach training. It’s well known that only 1/5 of people who shed weight actually keep it off in the long run. In addition, just 20% of adults meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Physical Activity Guidelines for aerobic physical and muscle-strengthening activity. There is much evidence to suggest that physical activity and lower risk for all kinds of health issues. This is especially important given that around 75% of healthcare spending goes toward treating diseases are are almost entirely diet-related such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Fitness goals can be hard to accomplish without nutrition coach training, a workout plan and fitness goals. Personal fitness coaching encourages a change in lifestyle, but it also encourages people not to change their schedule but to maximize it. For example, getting up at 6 AM may never work for someone who never has. However, a good fitness plan may be to do short bursts of fitness throughout the day.

Making a lifestyle change for better fitness isn’t easy, but the rewards are limitless. Your health is improved. Your longevity is extended. You’ll feel more attractive and usually full of youth. It truly costs more to say yes to a new, improved lifestyle than it costs to say no.
